Ok, so I did a trial run

I wanted to see how it's done, and the final taste

the taste, it's lacking. yes yes..I followed the blaSteD destructions to a T.

I'm going to tweak the next one..bigtime. Frangellico sprayed on the cake, more vanilla in the cake, and a dark chocolate ganache filling with a little hazlenut extract in it.

How much butter and vanilla did you use for the ganache?
Did you use a coffee extract or anything?

1st bite/taste is ok, after that it just falls flat.

I just I like bold, strong flavors- not rich though.

Well, at least you have the rolling technique dialed in. It looks fine, but I know what you mean about other people's recipes for flavor. Did you taste the filling before spreading it on the cake? You could have tweaked it in the bowl before committing to the roll. I make pumpkin rolls using the same rolling technique.
