trac 618

Hi I have been looking over you forum and am very interested in all the projects here my little project is laughable with all the big boy toys but I have to start somewhere and this is the closest I can find. I don't see much talk or info on small raidtracs and don't know much about track transportation where I live there are not many tracks but for my needs I'm thinking I need one. We don't get a lot of snow per say and what falls blowes into large drifts resulting in bare ground and large drifts very hard to get around. My new 2 me raidtrac is all original and in relative good shape its just gutless with the small engine wondering if I could change gear ratio and perhaps install fan cooled snowmobile engine any thoughts would be appreciated. I have no power or speed to get up hills then I fall through. Thanks:smile: I have pics but cant post yethttp://twinsistersrecreation.com

the 618 has a brother called passpatrout and and io forget what the other machine was called they both had 2 cycle snow machine engines in them the raidtrac you have should have a half f head tecumsha motor in it the best thing to do is find a kohler from a john deere gator and replace it. does it sound like I know a little something about them? answer is yes I have one in my yard and I have yet to locate an affordable motor for it. keep in mind affordable to me may mean something different to me than it doers you I was going to fix it up for the kids to cruse around on.
