and 2 more "floor pictures" the first is the cork flooring we're using in the kitchen, the second is a picture of the basement floor, which is wood grain strip vinyl.
third pic is the breakfast bar, which is a natural edge slab of white oak I got when cutting up a neighbor's tree that fell in a bad storm 3 years ago. Our stair treads are also from the same tree, I just haven't installed them yet.

Looks great! You do good work. If you need some more practice, come visit sometime.

I am envious. I enjoy that kind of thing. We built our last house, but the CFO insisted we not do it again when we moved. Something to do with the fact I didn't get around to some of the little things, like closet doors, until time to sell it.

Wow Eric! Thanks for the pictures....I griped long enough:rolleyes:
I am really, really impressed:thumb: I love the idea of your breakfast bar being from a tree that has a story behind it too.

today we were working on the fence/railing on the West side walkway that joins the front deck to the back.
Need to pick up more green lumber so I can build some steps and the fence around the AC compressor so the dogs can't mark it...

Is there someone in your family that will need the wheel chair ramp?
