I dont know if anyone has seen this guy. He talks about the stock market. He was on Connan OBrien tonight.
He said that he choked a guy that lost money for him.... he throws things at his employees, and if they loose money for him, he makes them wear their shits inside out or makes them wear a post-it note on their forehead the whole day.
I have NEVER seen a larger asshole on TV in recent memory. I pray that he learns that money, power and control are his downfall, not his strength. Hes an F-in looser in MY book. :2gunsfiri

I've seen his show. It's like he is hyped up on three pots of coffee or something. While the show was entertaining, I never watched it again. I don't need someone yelling like a madman to inform me about the latest stocks. :pat:

Personally I find the guy to be a little loud, I do not watch his show, or follow his advice.

However, he raises millions of dollars and donates it to charity. He has raised tens of millions of dollars for his customers. People stand in line to get a chance to work for the guy, knowing the 'tough love' and abuse they will take if they fail. . . because he is one of the best.

Now something you can say about him & his employees is they all know the consequences of failure . . . and the sweet smell of victory.

Contrast that with our school system, if you don't try they pass you along. If you fail, they pass you along. If you excel, they pass you along. They dumb down the classes to the smart kids are held down.

Personally, I'd take a million more Cramers to teach people the value of effort, work & results.

Amen; No child left behind = No child is allowed to excel.

Our public schools instill/reinforce socialistic values in both what they teach, and how they teach it. Again, we are reducing ourselves to the lowest common denominators in our society.

I used our schools as an example, but it is moving into both school and non-school sporting events. Every kid now gets a "ribbon" in sporting events, which teaches every child that they are a winner, even if they don't try, even if they don't excel, even if they do poorly. It further devalues the ribbons that the top performers receive.

My daughter recently competed in a regional Science Fair. She got first place. But wait, that is not really first place. As I looked around, there were a couple dozen other kids who got first place :smileywac How can a couple dozen kids get first place? So I looked around some more, there were 4 grades competing: 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. So they had first place winners for each grade. That, to my way of thinking explains 4 of the roughly 24 first place ribbons, as there could be one for each grade. Looking around I saw a couple dozen Second Place ribbons too? Everyone got a ribbon. There were no 3rd place ribbons.

You either won 1st or 2nd. That makes it a "PASS" or "FAIL" system, but I would not like to argue that point with the proud parent of a child who got a 2nd Place ribbon! So the ribbons were about as common as :toiletpap and less valuable.

I have a sneaking feeling that this smiley will have more meaning in the future: :stupid:

What the heck are we doing to our kids when we bash someone like Cramer for teaching people the lessons our collective fathers learned, but we (current society) forgot to pass on to our own kids?

Yep, we are teaching them that that there is no correlation between, success and/or failure, and the quality of their effort or performance. In effect, that indeed their are no winners or losers.
A hard lesson awaits these folks when they are forced to compete for jobs after they leave the protected confines of acedemia.

Of course they could become Professors, where they could be protected from reality, reinforced by folks of their own persuasions, and continue to pollute our future braintrust with this socialistic, liberal BS.

Or newscasters.

I feel there is a huge difference between treating your employees with respect and degrading them with unprofessional tactics.
Im in B2B sales as is this Cramer guy, just in a different industry. Rewards are built in. Its called commission. You mess up, you dont get the money. You keep messing up, you get fired.
Punishment is organically built in. There is NO reason to treat employees in a unprofessional manner. Im surprised he isnt fired. If you are a manager and have an issue with an employee, you take them aside and speak to them as an equal to review the situation.
As far as the school thing.... I agree that children need to learn more about failure and the real world. Alas, I dont think the connection between the 2 topics is a logical one.

It is a culture thing. You simply don't buy into the culture of Cramer's company.

Still it is a successful culture and people WANT to work for this guy! What you see as "unprofessional" they see as part of the fun and the experience of working there. They see it as competition, comradare, humor, reward, consequences and it all makes up the culture of the company. One that is amazingly succussful and probably a lot of fun to work for, which might explain why the best and the brightest (and brilliant oddballs) try to get jobs there.
