Colin Powell Meet the Press

Colin Powell is suppose to be on Meet the Press tomorrow, Sunday Oct 19th 2008. There is a good chance he will name the nominee for President that he is going to support.

From what I heard it will be Obama. I don't watch Meet the Press much anymore now that Tom Brockaw moderates it.

I've heard many say "I would vote for a black man for president if he were Colin Powell". Not me. He has made what I felt were liberal comments in the past. This doesn't surprise me.

I like the guy a lot. Not sure if I would vote for him but he is better choice than McCain and Obama thats for sure!

Well he is picking Obama. Another nail for McCains Coffin. He said he was sick of McCain's Camp bringing up the Ayers thing all of the time. But he went on to say Palin was a bad pick and was inexperienced.

He is an impressive man. He put down the republican party more so than McCain. He is disappointed in the Repubs direction and narrowing party platform which leaves behind many old time republicans. He did not mention the socialistic platform of the democrats.

Here is the emeded link. I agree 100% with what he said. Im still voting for Ron Paul's pick with the Constitution Party. But Powell had some VERY good points and I do trust his judgement.

The real "truth" will be shown if Obama is elected and Colin Powell suddenly gets a cabinet position. Something tells me he wants a job and his endorsement is nothing more than part of the application process.

I could have been knocked over by a feather!
He is the one that held up the pictures of Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction. Congress voted to go after them (war), then they ALL denied the whole thing.
They just blamed Bush.. Great bunch.
The American’s fell for it hook, line and sinker and it suddenly become Bushes War..

It pretty mush IS Bushs war. Actually Cheneys too. I would bet my Crown Vic that Powell was against the whole thing. He quickly resigned afterwards. Dont get me wrong. Congress is filled with ass-clowns. But the war I place responsibility directly on Bush / Cheney.

No he claimed with the intelligence as he saw it the US was right in going into Iraq. And today he was against Obama putting a Time line on it.

tonite, maybe not, but when bushy would veto the bill, then it goes back for a vote to veto the veto, that would end all funding. You are right, he might hold the pen, but he does not hold the purse strings............

oh he may have enough heads in the noose to get something done, but once they figger out he is history, and bad history at that, they might not be so inclined.
