Snow Trac rear latch/lock

I’ve been trying to find a rear latch for my 58 Snow Trac with no success. But while looking for some British bits I found one from a late 70s Triumph Spitfire that just might work...should be here by Christmas.:snow_smi:

you put that thing on your trac, and it will start leaking oil. The Brit automotive influence is strong.

Think 70's farm and construction equiptment cabs.

Many had this latch on their doors back then. Salvage yards who deal in this type of machinery will have used ones.. I am pretty sure I have two old tractors with exactly the latch in the picture..
