Sorry didn't watch it, but while I selected the third option, I would vote for McCain over Hilary any day.

A lot of conservatives have said that they won't vote for Paul because they don't think he has a chance and they want to make sure that Hillary doesn't win. Well, with the Republican party and it's front-runners self-destructing, AND the threat of a Obillary/Hillabama juggernaut, it may be time to reconsider or suffer something almost as bad as another 4yrs of Bush Jr. :yum:

I think they will both cost us money and liberty. They'll just find different ways to do it. Obillary/Hillabama will continue Jrs trend by spending more on social programs. Here's a few graphs showing the money end. Look at that deficit. Bush Jr made Clinton look good! :smileywac

I am very concerned about hillarious. IF she gets in, we are in the tank for sure.

I dont think the rep could run anyone and win, so in fact I am looking at the first time (I think) of having a 3rd party pres............

If Obama gets the dem nod, he will be the next pres.............and I will consider him................I said consider!

Re: Is Hillary More conservative Than McCain?

It is interesting that we have finally reached a point where the American people appear to be willing to over look the race/gender issue provided the candidate operates within the auspices of one of the two established parties.

It is also interesting and unfortunate that enmass, they do not seem to want to consider a third party representative regardless. I do however think that it is going to take someone very charismatic to ever pull it off.

Ron Paul has alot of appeal from a principle's perspective but it seems that the nature of our society is such that unless you appear "Presidential" you're facing an uphill battle.

There are of course variables that influence things. I don't think that Hillary Clinton looks Presidential but the "Bill" connection has bought her a ticket to the game.

Of the Republicans, McCain and Romney "Look" the most presidential.

Personally, I'm not interested in any of the front runners and I'm afraid that once again the people will not put "The best person for the Job" in office....Then again that's relative when you look at the choices.

But you DID watch the Bud lite video. That's what most Americans would do and one of the reasons we are barrlling down the road to full-blown Socialism

Choosing the lesser of two evils only delays the inevitable. But don't worry about it. Have another Bud Lite. :thumb:

God I hate Coulter. Anyhow, I'll vote for whomever is going to give us universal healthcare. The cost for my company to pay healthcare is crazy.

You ain't seen expensive healthcare yet. Just wait till Obillary/Hillabama TAKES your money to give you universal healthcare! The most expensive anythng that anyone can buy anywhere is something paid for by a government using taxpayer dollars.

It's coming because there are more people who think like Sushi than there are people with the economic understanding to know what will happen when it occurs. And it's no longer a matter of "if", it is a matter of when. The "dumb-masses" demand it, and the politicians will deliver it.

Britan seems to love their system. Canada likes theirs. We can look at what is worng with their system and make ours better.
And it is EASY for you folks to talk about loosing money and not care about the people that dont have healthcare. You HAVE healthcare AND money. I understand the 'economics' of it CB. I ALSO understand that people are working THREE jobs so that they can pay their damn bills and get healthcare. There are people that are suffering. GOOD people that are suffering because they cant afford health care.
I care more about people, than how much I have in the bank to buy my next new toy. Maybe folks need to give up a toy or two so other Americans dont have to worry about suffering or filing BK because they cant pay the hospital bills. I see where your heart is. :(

I also have data that shows it would improve the American economy, but I dont want to make you dizzy. (ha! I totally burned you man!)

Russians loved their system. Cubans love their system. North Koreans love their system. Socialism never works in the end, no matter how warm and fuzzy it makes you feel.

I feel its more important than subsidizing the school system. But its the same thing. Dont compare our paying for health care as communist. You'll loose that argument fast. What about paying for the police? Fire fighters? Schools? Parks?

I didn't compare it to communism. In fact, I didn't use the word in this thread until just now. I compared it to socialism, hence Socialized Medicine/Healthcare. If it were communism, you wouldn't have anything for the government to take from you in the first place. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialized_healthcare

Socialized medicine or state medicine is a term primarily used in the United States to refer to publicly-funded health care.[1] It can refer to any system of medical care that is publicly financed, government administered, or both.[2][3] It is often used pejoratively by association with socialism.

The other things you mentioned are taken care of at a more local level, not by the USGovernment, as it is forbidden by the USConstitution (you know, that paper thingy that's suppose to be the supreme law of the land?). All of the other things are for the general public and provide NO services to an individual, as health care would. A police man doesn't protect you, a fireman doesn't protect you, a park isn't for your sole use, you can opt-out of public school. My tax dollars fund all of these public things. I have never (individually) used any of these things, except public school. Now you want me to fund your individual health care? If the federal govt were to enforce a national healthcare system, it to would be illegal under the USConstitution as the federal govt is only allowed the authority expressly spelled out in the USConstitution, and brudder, that ain't in there. All other powers are left to the states and YOU!

And just to make it clear incase you aren't aware of it, while some services receive some amount of federal funding because of federal income tax, schools are administered by counties, fire, police and parks are administered by cities, counties, and states. I believe National Parks are technically illegal under the USConstitution because it says the federal govt may not own any land outside of the District of Columbia, but I'll have to look that one up.

You are now bringing additional items to the table without defending your earlier items or refuting what I said about them. Does that mean you acquiesce to my previous points? :tiphat: :poke:

Like the National Park thing, I believe that those are also illegitimate, but I'll have to look them up. I do love our National Parks and I do use them, but I think they should be under state control or other local control. I had a National Park debate with a fellow Libertarian once. I tried to justify their existance as the only way they could be protected and the only way I could have access to what would otherwise be private land. He said if I thought such land should be protected and if I wanted use of it, why don't I buy it and be the caretaker? After a bit of thought, I decided he was correct. Since then, I've been searching for my little slice of heaven that I would keep open for fellow nature boys/girls. Also, there are many private organizations/conservancies out there that do buy large tracts of land as a group for the same purpose.

No Bob. Im not caving. No Child Left Behind? And you can say that or this gov't office is funding education, and healthcare will be doing basically the same thing. Either way the system we have now is horribly broke. Something must be done and fast. Companies cant afford to hire more people because the cost per schmuck is too damn high because of healthcare.
Now admit that I am correct.... along with me being a God-like creature with a chest of iron and heart of gold with perpetually good smelling breath that smells like delicious blueberries.

Just for you CB, I watched it - changed my views none and didn't even rank entertainment value - the commercial was rather humourous, and America could use evey bit of unPC [though the clip in question didn't really challange PC per se] humor left.

So the reason for barrelling down the road to socialism isn't humor [though maybe lackthereof] or BudLight, it's that people in general have become so touchy-feelly topped off by a "what can my country do for me" attitude that the remaining choices in any major election are reduced to DemocratLite vs. CommunistLite.

Now maybe I should be doing something more about the nation's state of affairs than just head shaking, but I don't see anyone else here on the ballot either. :tiphat:
