2100B narrowing the tracks

My 2100B needs to be more narrow to allow easier trailering. Any reason you can’t just take off the inner and outer belts and cut off the grousers? I want to use it for trails and not deep snow grooming. Any technical thoughts from the Thiokol experts?

From the web.

Yup.

Take off the inner and outer belts and chop off the grousers....

It has been done before.

I met the fella who owns the cat in the top piccy.

He added some narrow belts up tight to the inner and outer belts and added some slightly longer grousers.

Pretty much do anything you want within reason...

The 57" tracks on the stock 2100 are just waaaaaaayt too much for most of us.

I am building a complete custom set of 36" tracks.

I have just about all the stuff I need now.

Good luck...have fun.
