Snow Trac 4.50 x 16 tires

I am in need of a couple replacement 600 x 100 rear tires on my Snow Trac. I have read in some of the forums that many of you are using a 4.50 x 16 tire. I have found the Alpine Guide tires. My question is for those of you using a 4.50 x 16 tire how is it working out? Do you need to use a tube or does the tire fit well enough to go tubeless? Are the tires too wide which makes them too tight between the guides? Here is the link to the Alpine tires;
