The military Snow Tracs, used by the Brits, had helicopter hooks on them so they could be air lifted to remote locations.
One of our former members, with whom I am still in regular contact, has an original Royal Marines Snow Trac as well as a civilian unit. I've visited and inspected both at her home in Wales, UK. She also has an original Snow Trac military trailer to haul a Snow Trac overland.
The Royal Marine units are pretty rare, the largest collection of them is sitting in a ship's hold on the bottom of the Atlantic off the Falkland Islands.
