My best guess is that back in those days is that the B stands for belted.



Then I have to ask what the 'A' means on my belted 1981 542A HD?

I'm not sure what "back in those days" means. It an 87, rubber was the only option at that point. I'm thinking it's got to be something else.

The 541A means that it started out life as a 500 steel track machine and was converted to belted tracks. We did that "back in the Day.
