Millions of these strip under at least 6 brand names are being recalled because they do not properly absorb blood and give false readings.

The blood glucose monitoring systems used to read the the strips are not being recalled. The strips are marketed under the brands:
• Precision Xtra
• Precision Xceed Pro
• MediSense Optium
• Optium
• Optium EZ
• ReliOn Ultima

To find out whether you own any of the recalled test strips, visit this site to see if you own test strips from the recalled lots. Alternatively, call 1-800-448-5234 (English) or 1-800-709-7010 (Spanish). Precision Xceed customers need to call 1-877-529-7185.

Users of the recalled strips are advised to switch to another strip immediately–for free replacement strips, call the above numbers.
