Track Addict, You are really looking to notice that difference! And yes they are nylocs and castle with cotter pin. That is how they showed up and I was wondering which one would wor k better nylock or cotter pin. Will have to think on that ,good thought though. I think the orange and black paint scheme looks good. Got 2 of them done today and hopefully 2 more tomorrow. Slowly but eventually!!

Well finally got the body back and put tinted glass in. Windshield, rear door and rear side windows are all glass. The front doors are tinted polycarbonate .125" thick. Started arranging dash switches and controls tryed to use all the existing holes. I think it turned out pretty good, now if i can get the wiring done the rest of assembly will be easier. She is definately going to be Orange!! Here are a couple pics

Has been a slow start to snow season around our part. But on the other side it has given me a little time to work on the 443. Installed engine and tranny last night and began on some of the hydraulics today. Should be able to finish wiring and start putting engine side panels and hood on tomorrow. Would like to have engine running soon.

Thanks Tom I just keep working on her as time allows and one day i may just finish !! Had to put tires on because i did not trust my front and rear castors as they were slightly over weighted. Plus this will give me a chance to dial in steering alignment issues.

Super nice job!!

Make sure that the axle nuts are tight. I would be torqueing them after the first runs. If they get any slack, the axle and extension get messed up. Those axles were special made for Tucker and not used in any on high way rigs. Last estimate I heard about the cost to re make was north of $1200.00

That's just plain BEAUTIFUL!. Of course when you post a few photos they act like teasers... So...how about some more, and of course some details, too.

So often with a well done project, photos don't do it justice. Do you have plans to bring it to any "get togethers"/"rendezvous" (which has the same spelling for singular or plural usage) next winter?

Thanks for the advice Sno- Drifter, i had them as tight as i dared with my 3/4 drive socket and breaker bar. And yes will be checking tightness after first run. 1200.00 plus is a little spendy for sure. Should get her done before winter and pray for lots of snow this year!
