Snow Trac ST4 and ST4B Rear Windows

Were the two rear windows (ones that are each side of the rear door in the back panel) ever optional on civilian snow trac ST4s or ST4Bs or were they standard after a certain year. I seem to have noted a mix in age of snow trac with and without these windows.

the newer ones had rear windows not that you can see any thing after a trip down the trail
