I'm not one to drink and drive/ride, so on the surface this strikes me as a bad idea. But it's a darn cool bike. And I'd be happy to hoist a glass after a ride on this bike. I think the Honda Goldwing is a more technologically advanced motorcycle. The H-D Roadking is probably not going to lose any of its marketshare to this new bike. But Indian is certainly looking to expand market share in several areas and its doing a lot to stake a real claim in the big highway cruisers with this bike. On the other end, they have several variants of their Scout that range from naked street to flat track style to bobber to small cruiser. Got to give them credit for this collaboration with Jack Daniels.

Indian Announces Jack Daniel’s LE Roadmaster Dark Horse
In association with Klock Werks Kustom Cycles

Indian Motorcycle, Jack Daniel’s, and Klock Werks Kustom Cycles are collaborating on the company’s fifth annual limited-edition motorcycle. According to Indian, for the fifth consecutive year, the three companies have united to celebrate American craftsmanship through an exclusive offering of Jack Daniel’s inspired Indian motorcycles.

As you can tell from the bike’s name and emblems, this year’s model uses Jack Daniel’s ® Gentleman Jack® branding. It reportedly uses attributes that reflect Jack Daniel’s distillation and aging process. For example, its custom Whiskey Pearl paint scheme and oakwood accents.

According to Indian Vice President Reid Wilson,

“The Jack Daniel’s Limited Edition Indian Roadmaster Dark Horse is our most premium touring motorcycle and, much like Gentleman Jack, represents the ultimate commitment to quality and craftsmanship, while offering the widest range of premium features and riding technology.”

Indian is limiting the new machine to 107 globally. And, Indian says that it offers all-new, one-of-a-kind features.

Exclusive, One-of-a-Kind Design

Jack Daniel branding is evident throughout and includes Gentleman Jack engraved floorboards, custom Jack Daniel’s branding on the seat, tank and lowers, and a numbered Montana Silversmith badge signifying the limited nature of this model.

New Ride-Enhancing Technology

But branding is not all this new Darkhorse has to offer. It debuts Indian Motorcycle’s new Pathfinder Adaptive LED Headlight, and Pathfinder S LED Driving Lights.

The new lights sense the bike’s lean angle. As a result, individual LED projector beams are activated to provide better visibility. Ultimately, fifteen individual LED lenses can activate in real-time.

The headlight also features a patent-pending technology in the industry’s first adaptive high-beam feature. According to the company, their Pathfinder Adaptive LED Headlight delivers “unparalleled illumination of the road ahead – whether upright and traveling in a straight line or leaned over to carve a turn.”

The 2021 limited-edition model also debuts Indian’s ClimaCommand Rogue heated and cooled seat. Indian says it delivers a sleek, modern look. It also allows riders to manage heating and cooling settings using the bike’s Ride Command infotainment system. Inside the seat is a proprietary thermoelectric technology that provides cooling or heating by using a flexible graphene material.

To keep its rider entertained, the bike packs Indian’s Ride Command infotainment system, with Apple CarPlay® integration. The system also features traffic and weather overlays, controls for Bluetooth and USB audio source, navigation, and extensive customization capabilities.

Powering the Dark Horse is Indian’s Thunderstroke 116, fuel-injected, air-cooled V-twin engine. It delivers 126 ft-lbs of torque and through a six-speed transmission for a more relaxed ride.

Each Jack Daniel’s Limited Edition bikes comes with a custom Montana Silversmith Belt Buckle in a display case. And, the owner’s name, motorcycle number (#001-#177), and VIN will be engraved onto the buckle.

All this “exclusivity” comes at a price. The new Darkhorse comes with a $38,999 price tag. Any way you cut it, that’s a lot of money. If you still want one of these machines, you can order one through an Indian Motorcycle dealership. Deliveries will begin in September 2020 with all of the custom machines arriving as 2021 models.

Darn, Bob! You'd look good on one of those!

Nope that is not my style of bike at all. On the other hand I think Bigdog would probably like it. He rides those big oil dripping HD V-twins so this looks more like something he'd like to ride.

But it probably doesn't drip oil :laugh3:
