The intolerant left

Why does the left constantly scold American conservatives for their intolerance?
We don't like the assault on marriage, so they call us homphobes
We don't like flag burners so they accuse us of not allowing patriots to freely express themselves
Yet, when it comes to Christianity, espcially organized religions such as Catholicism, we get this reaction and with no admonishions from the media.

It's disgusting what has happened to morality in the new millinia...In the last ten years the rules have changed, to none at all. Nothing is off limits behavior wise, nothing is sacred. It's now about nothing to loose. I am afraid we're in for more of this type of thing. I hope it has a peacefull end with an economic recovery. Otherwise it might end in a very ugly way.

These guys had a point in the beginning, but they never found the problem to hang their hats on. Yes there are problems, big ones that need to be addressed, but will not be when our finacial sector has bought off the political class. Now they are free to gamble, and there losses will be eaten by the tax payers while they keep their gains. And the anger is rightfully still there.....

Ever notice how if a liberal does not believe in something they want it abolished. If a conservative does not believe in something, they simply do not do it or ignore it.

I have cut back on my salt usage for health reasons. I try not to use it, I do not want it abolished.

I have cut back on trans fats, saturated fats. I try not to use it, I do not want it abolished.

I have not had a cigarette in 30 years. I believe smoking is not in my best interests. I do not want it abolished.

I love diet soda. I do not care about the stories on how bad it is. I feel that sugar can do me more harm through overweight and diabetes. I do not want sugar drinks taxed.

I wish liberals would just stay out of my life, form a society somewhere and deprive each other of life's pleasures. :biggrin:
