Electric stoves are the devil.

Cook with flame. Gas, charcoal, wood, whatever. The only electric element cooking allowed are toasters and pizza ovens!!

When I don't feel like using the propane grill, and am too lazy to setup the charcoal grill, I make steaks, including fillet mignon, in this...

It is well seasoned, and gives me grill marks as well. I use it for other meats as well with equal results. I can't see using a common fry pan for steaks, but cast iron is very acceptable to me and mine.
