OK . The world just collapsed as you know it . So how much do you have in the way of first aid ? A simple kit to fix boo boos or a major kit to fix most stuff including broken bones and major cuts or open wounds ?

Do you even know what your doing or just creating more pain?
You turning someone away that needs help in order to save your own family ??
Its the pits but it could happen ........ what say you ?

Simple kit at home, stuff in my car.. knowing what to do if needed.
Al, there have been a few times I've come upon an accident on the road and got there even before the first responders. (Two incidents on SR 309).
There was a time in a shopping mall when a guy went down outside a clothing store ( not good :().
I'd never turn away from anyone, no matter the circumstance.

I say a doctor would be someone with HUGE amounts of value - Someone to share some of your supplies with.
When it comes down to this end of society - An old fashion MD with a black bag sounds better than a sack of gold/:biggrin:

Tough choices . If it came to my daughters or son a stranger would probably be in deep shit . If it was between me an a stranger it would not be up for discussion . Help him first if his wounds or injurys were worst than mine .
I can't imagine what some of the first responders in Haiti must be experiencing . Tough choices . God bless them all .

Note to all : When was the last time you took a CPR class ? No excuse is good enough . :flowers:

Indeedy!
I think I shared with RNE about a time I broke a few ribs in the process.. but my patient survived and didn't hold it against me.

If you don't break ribs you probably are not doing it right ....:flowers:

Well, I've only had to do it maybe 2-3 times.
It's not fun at all.

I believe I have the supplies I would need for my skill level (the basics + Suture kits, quik-clot...).
I'll be getting a refresher first aid and CPR class in the next couple weeks.

Don't forget a dental kit!
