Rough sawn board for the lower part of the walls ( I don't know what car siding is ? ) And painted above ( green ?) to show off your heads.
You could have 2-3 walls in one style and the other (s) different, like all siding or camo wallpaper

I like the ideas. Car siding is basicly 1x6 tounge and groove pine that leaves a reveal at the grooves.

I would not use sheetrock as you will be mounting game heads and maybe rifles and such . Rough sawn wood is always a good choice . I like lots of leather furniture too in my game room . Book shelves for all those hunting books and cd's videos . Remember you may want some dimmer type directional spot lights to shine on some of your more impressive game heads .Maybe something like this .

Heres a example of how I used Red wall color to make my heads stand out better. Green would work well too .

Is that a stack rack? LOL
if you have someone in your area that actually makes lap siding, they usually sell off their "seconds" (minor knots, some cracking, etc...) for about 1/2 of what the #1 grade stuff goes for.
for example: http://www.midwestcypress.com/pages/specials.html
Like most businesses we get overstocks, returned goods or just too much ordered.
Check out this page often if you like bargains! Anything from a few boards to a truckload!
3/4 x 8 Interior Rustic Bevel siding!
http://www.midwestcypress.com/images/interior-rustic.jpgThis product is what we trim out of our regular exterior siding. It has defects that would make it questionable for exterior use but it has a lot of character that makes it great for interior use. Large knots, some cracks, lots of color variation. Nail it up with a finish nailer and put on a coat of Danish Oil or our clear Timber Tek.
Don't drywall that basement or den, warm it up with Interior Rustic Bevel siding! $1.50 per Sq foot!!
1/2 x 4 Clear Red Cedar Siding
The old standard that was used on many old homes. 1000 lineal feet, enough to cover about 350 square feet. - Make Offer.
Large quantity of Ipe, Cumaru and other hardwood shorts and narrow strips. Varies greatly from time to time - Current inventory includes several thousand feet of Ipe 1 x 2's , some Ipe slats that are .700 x 3.625 x 5' 1/2" actual dimension, and 11,000 ln feet of rough Ipe Squares that are a little over 2" square. All can be milled into what ever you need. Call for pricing.

You could also use Log Siding and give it a Log Cabin feel with chinking and everything.

Keep the ideas coming. I like Herman. Now I need to sit in the room and practice relaxing. I do have a complete game room set-up already with a bar. This room is hwere I can lock up all of dad's toys and jsut plain old hide for a few minutes when it is too cold to work int he shop. Also a good reason to have more head mounts done.

Exploring the ideas of putting fake log siding on the two outside walls. One ahs a window that is on an ICF wall. Window ahs a deep return. Window does'nt provide for mcuh of a view as it sits in a window well. The other two wall One with a door go with rough sawed yellow birch Lot's of knots. Add onje more knothead me and I can disappear.
Now what to do with the Ceiling. Knowing me I will probably wan tto get back into the ceiling to run something int he future. I can snake a fish tape to the utiltiy room from here.

1x6 V-groove or car-siding makes a nice ceiling. I have it set diagonal on my old house.
If you find someone with a portable sawmill they will sell you real log siding cut from the outsides of logs. If they are cutting 16-22" diameter pine, you could have some classy, wide real/fake log cabin siding !! It might have taper from one end to the other. Alternate them.
I have a stack of log outsides that I saved for just that purpose
