I run into a fairly good deal on this older Ruger Mini 14 in the picture below last week. I gave the owner $275.00 for it as pictured with several magazines. It shoots decent and is probably about 75% to 80% on the scale. It has the usual wear marks and dings associated with a used rifle. I actually shot better than the wife today with this rifle. It has been awhile since I was able to out shoot her on the target range.....

You got yourself a good deal.

Wish I could be lucky like that sometimes.

At the gunshow this past weekend and the cheapest used mini I saw was over $450, and anything new it seemed impossible to get under $600 and there were a couple over $700.

Heck, I really wanted a mini 30, but you can't buy them now in wood, have to go synthetic.

Congrats on a steal of a deal. I introduced my daughter to the Mini 14 last week.

Bill great deal on that rifle. I think you stole it. Like DZ pointed out, prices I see are often DOUBLE+ what you paid.

Congratulations, that is a great deal. I just sold a similar 181 for $475.

the 20 rnd mags are at least $35 bucks each.

The factory Rugers are up to @$50 now.:dizzy:

You can find imitations a lot cheaper if you don't mind malfunctions.

I got a 30, 35, and 40 round mags with it last week. He says he has several more for me but has to find them. I hope he does find them and saves me the cost of buying more.....:thumb:

The best price I have seen on a new mini 14 is $604.00 plus tax around WY. Most used ones go for about $450.00 and up around my part of the country when you can find a used one and those usually do not have the scope. This is an early vintage mini 14 and it may even be worth a little more than the newer models. I do not know for sure if that is really true or not???

I've always been PO'd at Ruger for jumping on the PC bandwagon over their magazines. Seems like Bill Ruger voluntarily stopped manufacturing them back during the ban without a fight. I had about 4 mags, after the ban lifted I bought 4 more "Police" magazines.
I bought my Mini 14 when they first came out, it still looks brand new as I've not shot it all that much, $169.00 bucks new.

Sweet deal! Heck, if that scope has some quality glass in it, you about got the rifle free - in which case, with the extra mags, he paid you to take it!

RR, I will let you make a great profit on yours and pay you $279.00 for it and give it to my wife for a birthday present...:thumb: I started to put mine away yesterday and the wife wanted to shoot it more. She was not able to match my last four shots which were all in the bulls eye at about 75 yards but she kept trying until the ammo supply got low...... I was just lucky....:shifty:

The 3X9 scope is probably about $100.00 at most but it was dead on after a little adjusting............
