eh guys need cheering up here......

im a MOD on a forum in the UK and have supported them from day one with honesty and hard work since they started about 8 months ago.

now they have vi+ account they offer to all their members and it includes usenet and rapiidshare accounts unlimited access and as a member of staff i get this free....and when i become apart of the team as a MOD they told me the accounts were free for me and my close family to use as a reward for all the effort i put in.

now today posted in the forum staff lounge they have posted a member of staff as been sharing the account with a member full well knowing its my family member and asked that the member of staff that as shared the account with them to come forward and explain why.

now i have instantly replied and explained myself(even though i should not have too due to the fact i am following the guidelines given to me)and it is now in their hands and to be honest i think it was an oversight by them and they realize this and all will blow over but heres my point.....

why the hell tell me one thing then when they have forgot go and post a message that makes me look dishonest???why on earth could admin who i have a good relationship with not msn me and clear it up???

i feel very upset by this and to be honest i am going to say stuff em when its all dealt with....i have spent months helping the site grow from nothing to having over 4000 members then they treat me this way....im feeling annoyed in the least and am a little lost for words.

im just glad im a member here and was able to come and get it off my chest.

thanks forums forums

kimi.

Seems like a PM would have been the best route to handle that.

Glad we could be here for you Kimi. What an 8 month brain fart for whoever told you that. I hope you have the agreement in writing.

dude,
that blows.
they definitely played it wrong -- i thought rule one of being a supervisor/manager was PRAISE in public, chastise in PRIVATE -- guess they never heard that one.
hopefully you kept the email telling you it was OK to share account privileges with family to shove down their throats on the way out the door.

good luck.

well thanks guys for your support.......they know they were wrong and have said lets just move on but the problem here is i have received no apology and they failed to post that they were wrong.

even though up till now we have had a good relationship it just shows how little they respect me so adios im outta of there.

i have worked in many areas of management over the years and have always shown respect to them that make the effort in the team....if things went wrong i would take a direct but private approach to the member of staff that it concerned as things are not always as they seem .....so benefit of doubt has always been a priority.

so it looks like im going to be spending a lot more time here.

thanks again to all at Forums Forums.

So how has this worked out for ya?

to be honest it's worked out great for me.... i now know where i stand when it comes to taking some ones word for something(get it in writing)and im happy as im spending my free time here.

as for them they have taken the approach of brushing it all under the carpet so the awkward situation i was put in was not needed from the start.....im just as confused as anyone.

thanks once again to Forums Forums for just being here.....you are a great bunch of guys and girls that i enjoy to visit in my spare time.:thumb:
